Kura è un laboratorio di composizioni grafiche, pittoriche, scultoree. Nel laboratorio si lavora in modo collettivo su comuni progetti, spesso realizzati a più mani. Progetto comune è mostrare i territori, segnarne i conflitti, le resistenze, i punti di rottura, ma anche la grazia di ciò “che ama nascondersi”. Kura lavora intorno al “bello”, ma non nel senso del proporzionato, perché in un mondo di sproporzioni sprofonderebbe nella generale finzione. “Bello” nel senso di congeniale, qualcosa che, anche quando si presenta nella forma di un urlo o in figure e colori crudi, si sente come un moto profondo dell’anima. Il bello, qui, è anche bellum, il corpo a corpo, il duello sostenuto da chi ancora mantiene memoria.

Kura is a workshop of graphic, pictorial and sculptural designs. It is based on collective craftsmanship, by which a number of projects are brought forward by groups of designers. Our common target is to show the communal life of our territories, their struggles and social conflicts, but also the beauty of whatever is hidden and waits to be discovered. Kura aims at “beauty”, not in the sense of the proportionate body, since in a world of disproportions it would be swallowed by fiction. We understand “beauty” as a what is “congenial” to us; although it may appear in the form of a telling-off or in crudity of shapes and colors, “Beauty” is to be felt as what lies in the depths of our souls. To us, beautiful is also to be understood as “bellum”, the fight undergone by those who preserve their memories.
